THE HUMAN FEAR

The most absurd thing to think about is the human being. Why? In a state of flux, he is rigid. He goes to war in order to make peace and explains this with term'' international diplomacy". How do you fathom this irony in his character?

Over the centuries, philosophers, scientists and humanists have worked at unraveling this mystery called man. The answer is still far fetched. We are still working at it. Lets say, the process is on-going.

However, we are assured of one indivisible element in man which helps define his personality even if narrowly. That is: Man is work in progress.

The planet earth has spewed out different races of men in various colours, sizes, shapes and heights. To which of these do you belong? For every continent, its peculiarities are well pronounced. These peculiarities are products of their immediate environments with their special influences.

Building on these, we can assume that Nature has endowed man with the environment. Perhaps, man, being the product of his habitat, must endeavor to survive within the milieu so endowed. Therefore, he makes room for his fears by attempting to control these fears through worship. Worship of the elements of nature......Fire, thunder, lightening, rain storm, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, landslides, famine, hunger and death. The list is inexhaustible. They worship theses elements because they have no control over them.
