The Bachelors fear.

As men prepare to get married, one or two things cross their minds. These two things are predicated on the experiences derived from their society and environment. What are they? The fear of venturing into the unknown world of marriage and the unknown responsibilities thereof. It is all about fear. Why is the fear factor so prominent in the life of a young man?

You see, the average bachelor is mostly used to being brash and suave when it comes to the subject of ladies and their ilk. However, within this shallow mindedness lies a very fragile tendency for the obvious. The obvious being, insecurity and self doubt.
Marriage exposes these composites in dimensions one may not understand and probably not  willfully, accept.
The truth may just be that, marriage is the only reasonable fear available to exorcise the Bachelor.
This piece is dedicated to my brother Engr. Essien Okon Ndon Ema who has decided to face his fears head on. We wish him a great journey through the corridors of life because marriage is just one of those lovely junctions.
